Send emails using the app

Available for:
This Guide shows you how to send emails using the CountThings from Photos app.
Step 1 - Settings Open the Settings window by clicking on the Settings icon (top right).
Step 2 - Email Options Click on Integration then on Email options.
For this example, we'll use your email server.
Choose from the dropdown the email service you want to use.
Fill in the form with your real information (email address, password and SMTP Server). You can keep the default SMTP port.
Click on the Verify Configuration button and wait for the confirmation message.
Click on Save.
Step 3 - Create An Email Form Open the Settings window by clicking on the Settings icon (top right), then click on the Forms button (bottom).

To add the email button:
  1. Click on the plus sign (Mail Item)
  2. Click on the Pencil icon to enable editing
  3. Give a relevant name to the button (Send Mail)
  4. Click on the Mail Settings button
In the Email Settings window, fill in the recipient's email, add a subject and write a message with the counting results.

Use the dropdowns to insert relevant information about the count:
  • from the left dropdown, select the type of the items (Tubes)
  • from the right dropdown, select the Operator's name
Click on the plus sign to insert into the message.
To add the count result to the message:
  • from the left dropdown, select the Default Value
  • from the right dropdown, select Count items
Click on the plus sign to insert into the message.

To attach the image with the count results, check the Attach result image checkbox.

When finished, click on OK, then on Save & Exit button.
Step 4 - Count Open a photo and count it. Make sure to select the appropriate Counting template.
Step 5 - Review the Results - Make Modifications if Necessary If you notice any counting mistakes, you can easily correct them by adding, deleting, or moving tags.

Step 6 - Send Email The email form is on the right side of the window.
After the count review, click on the Send Mail button to send the count results.
